Since its establishment in 1917, Canadian Young Judaea has embodied its mission statement ‘Our Mission is to Engage and Empower Jewish youth, foster leaders, and ensure a lifetime of commitment to our community and Israel’. With the generosity of their amazing supporters, CYJ has kept our promise for over 100 years. Today, our task is even greater than before. To live Jewishly in Canada comes at a great cost to families and individuals. The Canadian Young Judaea Scholarship Fund was founded in 2021 as a response to the rising need in our community for financial support to attend any CYJ affiliated Jewish summer camps, or Year-Round programs.

  • Camper Scholarships

    In 2021/2022 we are anticipating a need for financial assistance of upwards of $120,000. No child will be turned away from a CYJ program or affiliated summer camp or Jewish educational experience due to their families financial situation.

  • Year Round Program Financial Aid

    Our Scholarship Fund awards grants to chanichim that participate in year-round programs and conventions who would not otherwise afford these programs. These programs highlight Jewish culture education, and personal growth.

  • Emphasis on Inclusion

    The Canadian Young Judaea Scholarship Fund is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse space. Inclusivity starts at an institutional level, the scholarship fund focuses on Jewish diversity through background, socio-economic status, and gender & sexuality.
